Born in 1958 in Great Barr, Birmingham, I was 12 when my father bought me my first organ. After teaching myself to play, I started performing for Ballroom Dancing at 16, and at 18 played in a five piece dance band called Town & Country. I then became part of a duo with drummer Mike Hewett before becoming resident organist for the Aquarius Ballrooms in Hednesford, where I still appear.
In recent years I have become a popular figure on the Ballroom and Sequence dance circuit, gaining a dedicated following with my up beat and enthusiastic style, for which I am known as 'Mr Music'. I put my current success firmly down to the support from my dance teacher wife, Denise who sadly passed away on the 11th December 2022. She was my world and would have wanted me to carry on, so I am, albeit in a smaller capacity.
